The Recycling Associate is responsible for supporting manufacturing to maximize recycling revenues.
• Assist manufacturing to ensure all recyclable materials are labeled and staged properly in accordance with Imagine Recycling Program Procedure.
• Ensures all Fiber Materials (Paper and Cardboard) are baled prior to being loaded on the appropriate trailer.
• Documents and Reports on the number of bales per trailer.
• Ensures all Non-Fiber Materials (plastics, coroplast, landfill, vinyl, etc.) are labeled and loaded on the appropriate trailer.
• Maintains a clean work environment surrounding the Shredder/Baler, inside and outside.
• Transports materials from manufacturing to staging area as required.
• Assist Shipping and Receiving as requested.
• Contacts recycling vendor to coordinate trailer pickups and drop offs.
• Adheres to safety, quality and manufacturing procedures.
• Safe operation of PIVs as required.
• Works overtime as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with the manager’s approval to hire full-time.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Warehouse and material handling experience.
• PIV operation experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Ability to operate PIV’s safely and efficiently.
• Good judgement and decision-making
• Ability to communicate/understand written and verbal instruction.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of simple computer operations.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. for up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
• Frequent walking and standing.
• Ability to load and unload trailers using PIV’s and manual pallet jacks.
The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
