Position Overview

Responsible for the receiving and warehousing of all incoming product, warehouse maintenance, stock handling and coordinating the picking/staging of job orders to other departments.

 

2nd Shift: 12:00PM to 8:00PM

Responsibilities

· Directs the operations of the department personnel to achieve prescribed objectives.

· Develop and implement work schedules and assignments to ensure effective and efficient operation.

· Supervises the timely and accurate receipt and storage of incoming materials and shipment of             completed work.

· Supervise team members; provide constructive feedback/coaching where needed; be alert for training opportunities; talk to and listen to employees’ needs, concerns and suggestions.

· Defines responsibility of subordinates; communicates established standards of performance and procedures; appraises performance against assigned responsibilities.

· Drives continuous process improvements.

· Develop and maintain best in class warehousing practices.

· Assist in interviewing applicants and make recommendations for employment.

· Manage time / attendance, performance and development of direct reports.

· Recommend improvements in equipment or processes to the manager.

· Ensure that all records and reports regarding department activity are prepared on a timely basis and    effectively maintained, reviews operating goals and standards and monitors achievement.

· Assist in planning space utilization to meet prescribed cost standards.

· Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed.

· Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly.

· Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supervises various warehouse staff.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· 3+ years of experience working in manufacturing, fulfillment, or distribution environment.

· Ability to become forklift certified.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

· 1+ years of experience driving a forklift.

· 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role or equivalent experience

· 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing, fulfillment or distribution environment.

· Experience managing hourly time and attendance.

· Experience using an ERP system.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, Work and Outlook

· Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and measurement

· Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.

· Frequent standing for prolonged periods of time

· Frequent walking

· Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.

· Manual dexterity for repetitive work

Pay Range

USD $22.00 - USD $29.00 /Hr.

Pay Statement

The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
